A NOTE ABOUT RETURNED MAIL
Each edition of this newsletter brings us dozens of "bounced" e-mail messages
which are returned for various reasons. One of the most common reasons is that
people are using free e-mail accounts that are full. If your e-mail address
bounces two months in a row, then you'll be removed from the mailing list, so be
sure to keep your mail accounts under their quota to continue to receive this
newsletter and other important mail.
FREE MUSIC DRAWING
Congratulations to Faith in Huntingdon, TN, who has just won Lianna Klassen's
"Love in the Ruins", Kildare's "Morning Dance", and Robert Coates' "On This Very
Day" in our most recent drawing. The winner of our current contest will receive
three new CDs: Carolyn Bowles' "Wondrous Love", Kirsten Easedale's "Be Not
Afraid", and Judy Cockwell's "Shades of Light", generously donated by Radio
Angel Records, Rel Records, and Judy Cockwell, respectively. The next drawing will be held in August.
To enter the current contest, just fill out the form at

DIAL UP RADIO STATION IN JEOPARDY
Despite a large amount of interest in a dial-up radio station before it was
launched, the number of listening hours it draws each month is surprisingly
low--averaging well under 10 hours per day, total. Though the service is only a
few months old, it is one of the most expensive services we provide (on a
"per-user" basis). All functions of CelticChristianTunes.com--hosting, design,
domain registration, and radio streaming--are paid for out of my (Cory's)
pocket. While it is a joy to provide these services, their availability is
subject to my ability to pay for them. Money is tighter than usual right now,
and as a result, the least-used service--dial-up radio--will be the first to go.
Dial up access is currently funded through July. To continue service beyond July
31, I'll need to receive donations totaling at least $30, which will ensure that
the dial up stream remains in service through October. Any donated funds less
than that amount will be used to fund the high speed channel and cover other
website expenses. While it is difficult to have to make this request, I think it
is important that CelticChristianTunes.com users be given the opportunity to
help solve the problem. To make a donation, please visit
http://www.celticchristiantunes.com/donate.shtml.
HIGH-BANDWIDTH CHANNEL NEARS A MILESTONE
While our dial-up channel isn't getting much use, as of this writing, the
high-bandwidth CelticChristianTunes.com Radio is ranked 501st among tens of
thousands of Live365 radio stations. It is encouraging to see the popularity of
the high-bandwidth channel, and it will be interesting to see if we'll be able
to report that CelticChristianTunes.com Radio is a top-500 station by the next
Newsletter.

websites through CelticChristianTunes.com.
DAVE & DEBBIE BAINBRIDGE's "Songs for Luca" is currently being shipped. The
proceeds from this new set, featuring over 2 hours of music and a host of
artists, will go towards helping the Bainbridges' son Luca to overcome the
challenges of autism. Visit Iona's website for more information about this
recording.
DAVE BAINBRIDGE: "Veil of Gossamer", Bainbridge's upcoming album, is currently
being recorded. It will feature Joanne Hogg, Rachael Jones, Troy Donockley,
Frank Van Essen, and Nick Beggs, and will include an epic, based on the 7th
century account of St. Cuthbert, who as a 16 year old shepherd tending a fire on
the hills in Northumbria one dark night saw a strange sight in the sky far off
towards Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. As the flames and sparks rose into the night,
Cuthbert noticed something that looked like lights descending and ascending from
the heavens. He even wondered whether these were angels coming down to
accompany a particularly beloved soul to heaven. The next day he learned
of the death of St. Aidan--the much loved founding father of the monastery
on Lindisfarne--at exactly that time. Visit Iona's website for more information
about this recording.
MOYA BRENNAN's release dates for her new album "Two Horizons" are being
finalized around the world; first will be Australia on July 21st, followed by
the UK and Ireland on August 18, with many European countries following in
September. This album will be released in SACD format. Besides the 15 tracks,
the album will also have enhanced features including film shot during the
recording, a wonderful prologue to the Two Horizons story written by Brian
Keenan and a bonus track.
MOYA BRENNAN has recorded a version of "Ave Maria" for a new album by StingÕs
guitarist, Dominic Miller. Miller, who for the past fourteen years has been
StingÕs right hand man, released his latest solo album of classical pieces
entitled "Shapes" on June 2nd.
MICHAEL CARD will be presenting "From the Study", his new monthly column
dedicated to offering readers insight into Scripture. The column, 800-1000 words
in length, will be featured monthly on websites and in print. It can currently
be read on Family.org (a website of Focus on the Family), ChristianityToday.com,
Crosswalk.com and will appear in Moody Magazine's final issue this summer.
JUDY COCKWELL'S "Shades of Light" is now available for purchase through her
website, along with a couple of free mp3 downloads. Judy is currently working on
material for her next album, which she hopes to release in September.
TROY DONOCKLEY'S "Pursuit of Illusion" was to have been officially released on
July 10 (though we've been unable to confirm this).
THE ELECTRICS will be have a brief U.S. tour October 1-16 2003. They are
currently booking dates. Sammy Horner will open for The Electrics on this tour
and will promote his new Celtic Acoustic Worship CD. The Electrics will be
promoting some new projects as well.
THE ELECTRICS will also be re-releasing all of their earlier albums, previously
on SaraBellum Records, as well as their upcoming new recording "Old, New,
Borrowed, and Green" and some of Sammy Horner's solo albums under their new
label Tame Your Tongue Records.
JOANNE HOGG, KRISTYN LENNOX, & MARGARET BECKER are working on "New Irish Hymns
2", the follow up to "New Irish Hymns" (which featured Moya Brennan instead of
Lennox, and was known as "In Christ Alone" in the U.S.). It will most likely be
available on Kingsway Records in the UK first, with a later release in the U.S.
IONA's lead singer, Joanne Hogg, gave birth to her second son Ethan Hogg on May
8.
